All pieces are handmade to order, meaning there may be slight variations from the image to your piece. Know that these variations are a sign of the love and evidence from our hands to your home. Please allow 2-5 weeks for your piece to be made before shipping.Gold plating takes longer for production due to outsourcing to our vendor in Cranston, RI.
Return Policy/Jewelry care
StudioSophiaSophia's jewelry is made with quality craftmanship. If for some reason you ordered the wrong ring size or are completely unhappy with your order (let's hope not!) I will work with you to resolve any issues.
Returns & Refunds
All returns must be received within 14 days from your date of receipt and be in original condition and packaging in order to receive a refunded store credit. You will be in charge of any extra shipping costs. Returns are only accepted for pieces that arrive broken or damaged, not because you subjectively don’t like what you ordered.
Due to the nature of hand fabricating each product, we only offer a refund for store credit or the option to swap for inventory in stock with a similar cash value. Store credit must be used within 30 days from when you receive your discount code.
In the case of a return or refund, please contact us at artistsophiasophia@gmail.com and I will give you instructions as to what address to send to.
I do not accept returns on items damaged by regular wear & tear of life. If your piece arrived damaged you'll need to notify me within 7 days of the receipt and we will proceed from there.
There are no refunds or returns on custom orders.
Repairs
Repairs can be tricky once the resin is set in place, but if something out of your control happens to your piece and you would like to know if it can be repaired or exchanged, please contact me and we can talk further about details. There may or may not be an extra charge, depending on the case of how the piece was broken.
Orders may be cancelled before they are shipped for full refund. Custom orders can be cancelled for full refund up until the work begins on the item.
Resin:
StudioSophiaSophia uses high quality jeweler's resin. Your resin will be 100% cured before shipping. Resin is not as durable as stone or glass. Please treat the resin with respect! If you happen to bump the resin or knock it on something sharp, it is possible the accident will leave a scratch or indent.To fix this, put your piece in hot water (almost boiling) with a bit of dish soap. Leave in for a minute or two. When you take it out,take a very soft rag or paper towel and rub the resin smooth- reapplying hot water when necessary. Run under cold water after doing and repeat until the scratch is gone. If this doesn't work,please contact me at artistsophiasophia@gmail.com and I will try my best to work with you!
Tarnish:
**brass, base metals and silver in general: Your pieces will arrive polished. Over time, metals have the ability to tarnish while exposed to oxygen. Try to stay clear of getting your pieces wet for long periods of time, or interacting with different chemicals (lotions,etc). Store your jewelry in an air tight ziplock bag for protection. To clean the tarnish, you can rub the piece with fine steel wool (found at any hardware store) or use store bought polishing cloths.
**rings: please be aware that brass and other base metals have the ability to turn skin green: to prevent this, you can coat the inside of the ring with clear nail polish or a clear metal protective lacquer. You have a higher chance of skin discoloration if you are wearing the piece constantly, sweating or getting it wet, etc. Every person is different and the discoloration is not harmful to your health. Also to note that gold plating, especially on rings, will wear off over time. I am not responsible for returns or refunds if this happens and you are unhappy.
Gold Plating:
Gold plating is a thin layer of 14 karat gold chemically fused to base metal. Please be aware that plating can wear off over time, faster in pieces with moveable parts.
